with a Focus on Sports Pedagogy and Sports Didactics

to be filled as soon as possible.
We are looking for an internationally recognised personality who represents the subject of sports ped-agogy and sports didactics in its entire breadth in research and teaching within the framework of teacher training and the single-subject Master's degree programme "Sports Science". The professor-ship is tied to the development of its own research programme with a clearly recognisable theoretical-empirical, internationally compatible and third-party-funded educational science profile. A prerequisite is special expertise in educational research in at least one of the two main research foci of the Insti¬tute ("Social Heterogeneity in Sports", "Talent in Sports").
Further requirements ares:
a degree in sports science
relevant national and international publications in the context of the professorship
a high level of expertise in methods of empirical sports pedagogical research
successful acquisition of third-party funds, especially competitive ones
positively evaluated teaching in the context of the professorship
willingness to cooperate with the behavioural and natural science departments of the Institute of Sports Science
experience in interdisciplinary ccoperation and international research cooperation
experience abroad in academic institutions.
In teaching, the focus is on (sports) teacher education. The jobholder is expected to cover the educa-tional and pedagogical aspects of teacher training in the subject of sports science in all teacher train-ing courses in German and English. In addition, active participation in the Institute's Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes qualifying for non-school occupational fields is expected. The professorship is tied to participation in the humanities and social sciences research priorities of the faculty and to participation in the (further) development of interdisciplinary research clusters in the area of the study of teacher professionalisation or of subject-related educational processes of pupils at the Research Academy of the Centre for Teacher Education - Didactic Centre (DiZ) of the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
As the University of Oldenburg and the University of Bremen are bound by a cooperation agreement, active participation in the cooperation is expected.
Prerequisites for employment are specified in section 25 of the Lower Saxony Higher Education Act (NHG). Professorships with a functional description involving duties in education science or didactics can only be filled with candidates who can additionally provide evidence of three years of practical experi-enceat a school or suitable pedagogical experience, or appropriate empirical research experience corresponding to these duties.
