We are seeking qualified applicants for teaching and research in the area of distributed signal processing. The starting date is September 1st, 2019 or soon thereafter. World-class expertise in at least one of the following areas is required:
Advanced Digital Signal Processing in Communications
System-on-Chip and Multicore Architectures
Application Specific Hardware Design Methodologies
Efficient Distributed Resource Optimization
Experience in related application areas is highly appreciated, e.g. in automotive electronics, smart cities, industry 4.0, wireless systems, or security in embedded and distributed systems. Participating in the future activities of Jülich Aachen Research Alliance (Jara) is possible and desirable.
A Ph.D. degree is required; additionally, Habilitation (post-doctoral lecturing qualification), an exemplary record of research achievement as an assistant / an associate / a junior professor or university researcher and/or an outstanding career outside academia are highly desirable. Ability in and commitment to teaching are essential. The application should include supporting documents regarding success in teaching. German is not necessary to begin but will be expected as a teaching language within the first 5 years.
We expect active contribution to teaching including the development of new courses, especially in the areas of communication systems, signal processing, and related hardware architectures.
