Tenured Professorship in Dance Studies

The successful applicant will cover the area Dance Studies in research and teaching. Appointment requirements are governed by Article 100 of the Berlin Higher Education Act (Berliner Hochschulgesetz).
Successful candidates are expected to have a distinguished track record of research in the area of Dance Studies and should be experienced in university teaching in an
international environment. We are looking for someone with experience in leading functions within the area of dance/dance studies. She or he should be experienced in
interdisciplinary research associations and scientific collaboration with non-university institutions of art, culture and media. Additionally, applicants are expected
to have experience in acquiring and leading externally funded research projects.
Apart from the official duties in accordance with Article 99 of the Berlin Higher Education Act, we expect the appointee to engage in the following activities:
She or he is expected to coordinate, develop and manage the Dance Studies Master programme and should also be willing to teach courses in English. The appointee should
engage in the interdisciplinary research activities of the department and collaborate with institutions if art and culture as well as extramural scientific institutions.
We expect the new professor to also address gender and diversity issues relevant to the field in research and teaching.

translations if needed), a list of publications, a list of courses previously taught, and evidence of teaching competence. Furthermore, please include information
on involvement in ongoing and future research endeavours, joint research projects and externally funded projects and if necessary language certificates. If applicable
for the respective content area, please give information on industrial cooperation, inventions/patents and spin-offs.
