The Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences of Brandenburg University
of Technology (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg, invites applications for a
General Business Administration in the
area of Marketing (Allgemeine Betriebswirtschaftslehre,
commencing at the earliest opportunity.
The position will have a pronounced research focus.
Successful candidates are expected to represent the field of general business
administration, especially marketing, in both research and teaching. Research
activities should be focused on quantitative marketing approaches particularly
in the field of innovation and technology as well as recent developments in
customer integration such as digitalization and Open Innovation. Applicants
should be able to proof their research strength by the publication of research
outcomes in top-tier international journals, have experience in the development
and advancement of third-party funded research.
The candidate will be able to investigate key research questions in his field
based on profound theoretical considerations, empirical analysis as well as
strongly activity-oriented evaluations. lnteractions with related research areas
such as technology, innovation and entrepreneurship should be considered.
Further desirable experiences include previous work in interdisciplinary research
projects particularly in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
As Brandenburg University of Technology aims to increase international
cooperations, international research and teaching experience is desired. The
chair will be a main contributor to bachelor’s and master’s courses in general
business administration, industrial engineering and e-business study programs.

Hochschulgesetz (Higher Education Act of the State of Brandenburg - BbgHG)
in conjunction with § 3 BbgHG.

Experience in the acquisition and realization of third-party funded projects is
expected. Fields of research should be relevant for the DFG (German Research
Foundation) or similar international research funding organizations. Lectures are
primarily to be held in German, fluency in English is expected.
