The professorship contributes to the faculty’s research clusters “Globalisation textures” and “Labour and social structure” – respectively the corresponding strategic research areas „Mobility, migration and interculturality“ as well as „New work“ and it takes part in the interdisciplinary cooperation with other teaching and research units at the faculty and the university. Regarding internationalization the professorship should keep a special focus on shaping The European University of Postindustrial Cities (UNIC).
