Professor (W3) for Educational Sciences with a focus on on Further Professional Education and Human Resource Development
to be filled as soon as possible.
We are looking for candidates who will make a significant contribution to research in the domain of further education, teaching and learning in professional contexts (businesses and organisations) as well as human resource development, also in connection with digitization. It is expected that the appointed professor participates in the further development of one of the faculty’s research profiles (“Normativity in Science and Life Worlds”, “Education under Conditions of Heterogeneity”; “Processes of Education in Organisations”).
Required are experiences in the acquisition of competitive third-party funding, academic self-administration and management. We welcome candidates with an international orientation in their research. The professor is responsible for the further development of the institute and its disciplinary orientation, also in the context of the current university structural reform in Rhineland-Palatinate. The teaching load is 9 semester hours per week and includes courses in the Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Arts programs (mainly in the study program of Business Education/Human Resource Development) in Landau.
The following application requirements must be documented in accordance with the Rhineland-Palatinate Higher Education Act (Hochschulgesetz, HochSchG): a completed university degree or a degree at a comparable higher-education institute (excluding bachelor), or a master’s degree, a Ph.D degree in educational sciences or comparable discipline, pedagogical aptitude as well as additional scientific achievements in the field of educational sciences (§ 49 Abs. 2 HochSchG).
The State of Rhineland-Palatinate and the University of Koblenz-Landau embrace a concept of intensive support for students and therefore expect a high presence of lecturers at the university.
For positions in organisational units where women are underrepresented, female applicants with equal qualifications and aptitude will be given preferential treatment, provided that the qualities of another candidate do not render him more suitable for the position.
