The Faculty of Modern Languages (Institut für Deutsche Literatur und ihre Didaktik) welcomes applications for the following position as civil servant or public employee:
Professor (W3) Didactics of German Literature
The ideal candidate for this position will cover the entire field of Didactics of German literature in both teaching and research. A focus on empirical research will be appreciated, preferably in the field of literary learning.
A university degree in German Studies, pedagogic qualifications, PhD, habilitation or equivalent academic accomplishments as well as relevant teaching experience (high school, secondary school) are required, preferably the candidate has completed the second state examination.
Because the professorship is involved in teacher training, candidates are required to have specific experience in this area and should be willing to participate in interdisciplinary initiatives in the field of empirical educational research. Candidates are expected to have three years of practical school-related experience and should be willing to supervise school internships.
The designated salary for the position is based on W3 on the German university scale or equivalent.
