The Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University Frankfurt, Department of Computer Science and Mathematics, invites applications to fill the position of a
Professorship (W2, tenure track)
in Data Base Technologies and Data Analytics
within the Institute of Computer Science. We are seeking a candidate internationally recognized for excellent research and publications,
for example in the fields big data management, analytics and mining, polyglot persistency, analytical information systems and business
intelligence, or semantic technologies who represents these fields in research and teaching and complements the current team.
We expect the candidate to have finished an above average doctorate and to possess a high-level teaching record as well as to establish
collaborations with other professors in multi-disciplinary alliances. Experiences with interdisciplinary and/or international collaborations
and active acquisition of third-party funding are requested. The successful applicant is expected to establish scientific networks within the
Institute of Computer Science, the Department, Goethe-University, and beyond in particular in the following fields of application: Computational
Humanities, Business Information Systems, Computational Life Sciences, or Green IT. The professorship is embedded in the attractive research

This appointment is part of a strategic repositioning of the Institute for Computer Science in Frankfurt. The initial tenure track appointment
amounts to six years (§ 64 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Hessen (HHG). Upon positive evaluation, the incumbent will be promoted
to a permanent position at a higher level (W3). The designated salary for the position is initially based on “W2” of the German university
