The University of Bremen - subject to the release of the
budget funds - seeks to appoint two professors to fixed term
positions for five years in the Faculty of Business Studies and
Economics. The openings are for an appointment as

The appointment is for a fixed-term period of five years.
We invite applications from candidates with substantial
experience in independent research and academic education
and with visibility in the research community. The appointed
persons will represent their respective field in research and
teaching, contribute to its further advancement and facilitate
the scientific and academic development of the international
research profile of the Faculty.
The Faculty of Business Studies and Economics is a
mid-sized body with high aspirations for its international
research agenda and its teaching visibility. It has recently
joined the AACSB and strives for accreditation within the
appointment period of the announced professorships. The
University of Bremen offers an ideal academic environment
for the establishment of disciplinary and interdisciplinary
collaboration. The position holder is expected to engage in
cooperative research both within and outside the University,

Teaching responsibilities cover Bachelor and Master-level
courses as well as training and supervising PhD students.
The position holders will be encouraged to obtain training in
higher-education teaching skills. Courses are in English or
German and English; an appropriate level of proficiency in
either language is expected, and a working knowledge of
both is desirable.
Applicants are required to hold a university degree with a
business focus, a PhD degree in their respective fields,
further scientific achievements in the field to warrant the
appointment as professor (such as a higher doctorate,
successful evaluations at the assistant professor stage or a
substantial publication record), pedagogical aptitude and
