The successful applicant will cover the area named above in research and teaching.
Appointment requirements are governed by Article 100 of the Berlin Higher Education Act (Berliner Hochschulgesetz).
Successful candidates will have acquired their PhD or additional academic achievements (cf. Article 100 Sec. 2 and 6 BerlHG) in Political Science. She or he is also expected to have an excellent track record of international research activities with foci on Environmental and Climate Policy demonstrated through peer-reviewed publications. Furthermore, applicants should have verifiable empirical methodological skills, international teaching experience and experience in acquiring and leading externally funded research projects. We are looking for someone who is able to teach in German and English. In addition, experience in the supervision and implementation of knowledge transfer activities is desirable
Apart from the official duties of the appointee in accordance with Article 99 of the Berlin Higher Education Act, we expect the applicant to engage in the following activities:
We expect the new professor to teach courses of the bachelor and master programs in Political Science offered by the Otto Suhr Institute of Political Sciences and to participate in joint and excellence projects of the Department of Political and Social Sciences - among others in the excellence cluster Contestations of the Liberal Script (SCRIPTS). The appointee should also address gender and diversity issues in her or his research and teaching.

Furthermore, please include information on involvement in ongoing and future research endeavours, joint research projects and externally funded projects, and if necessary language certificates. If applicable for the respective content area, please give information on industrial cooperation, inventions/patents and spin-offs.
