Your tasks:
Applicants will represent the field of hygiene and general and applied microbiology in teaching and research. Conduct lectures, exercises and practicals in the area of basic education in all Bachelor's degree programs of the department (Food technology, Industrial biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Technology of Cosmetics and Detergents and Medical- and Health-technology), and design courses in the (bio)medical area for the research-oriented Master's degree program Smart Health Science. If required, they will also have to take on teaching tasks in other areas.
Furthermore, you promote innovative and interdisciplinary study and communication formats for multidisciplinary teaching and for the dialog between science and society. This may include, in particular, interdisciplinary student projects and may involve, if possible, several departments. 25% of your teaching is provided as digital teaching, if required, to enable cross-location events.
You identify with the university's supervision concept, which requires a high presence of the lecturers at the university location and the willingness to take on self-administrative task at the university. You offer your courses in German. In addition, you are qualified to conduct courses in English.
Your profile:
You have a qualifying university degree in the technological/biological/medical field with a doctorate, preferably in human or veterinary medicine, as well as several years of relevant professional experience.
Permission conformable to § 44 et sqq of the law Gesetz zur Verhütung und Bekämpfung von Infektionskrankheiten beim Menschen (IFSG) to work with pathogenic germ of the risk group 2 must be on hand by the hiring date and the applicant must own a proof of expertise according to §15 GenTSV.
The Department of Life Science Technologies is particularly strong in research; active participation in research, acquisition of third-party funding and cooperation with institutions from the health sector and industry is expected.
