We look for a personality holding a university degree in the field of civil engineering or in
architecture, who, as a practicing structural engineer, can prove an outstanding qualification (e.g. the qualifications for scientific work as well as an educational aptitude are expected. The applicants are supposed to possess special skills in the fields of structural design and building construction and to be able to teach these in an application-oriented way in the context of the architectural education in the bachelor and master programs. In doing so, the students shall be made familiar with the construction, design and material, from the basics of structural engineering to the contexts of the structure. More specifically, the students are supposed to be made familiar comprehensively with
the basics of structural design as well as the connection of the supporting framework and the construction, design and material. Within the field of construction, the focus will be on the accurate and design-oriented joining of the structural components.
In addition, successful candidates will be required teaching the fundamentals of building physics in the bachelor program. An application-oriented research affinity is presupposed as well as the ability to teach in English are assumed.

The hiring conditions are in accordance with §§ 61 and 62 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (HHG). This is a permanent contract. The first appointment as a professor is
first as a public-service employee on probation or with an unlimited employment contract with a 3-year long probation period.
