What to expect:
You will be responsible for
teaching and conducting
research in the area of
Structural System Design at
MSA.
You will teach Structural Design
and Structural Construction
using an underlying, integrative
and holistic approach in the
project planning of the
constructed environment on all
scales.
You will support our
internationalisation strategy
with enthusiasm and
competence.
You will also play an active role
in professional development
and continuing education at
MSA.
Besides your readiness to shape
and further develop the
curricula, you will represent
MSA on committees and at
meetings in the context of selfgovernment.
Your background:
Your expertise is based on your
degree in Civil Engineering
and/or Architecture as well as
recognised practical experience
in the national and international
context.
We appreciate not only the
realisation of architecturerelated
structural projects for
which you were responsible, but
also the planning approaches you
take to accomplish innovative
structural designs.
Experience in applying digital
planning methods such as BIM,
and parametric tools and
scripting complement your
portfolio.
You have the ability to present
complex interconnections and
concepts in a comprehensible
manner, getting students
enthusiastic about load-bearing
systems and the associated
knowledge content.
A relevant doctorate is desirable.
The requirements for
recruitment under Section 36 of
the Higher Education Act of
North Rhine-Westphalia (HSG
NRW) apply.
