and Languages at the Goethe University Frankfurt welcomes
applications for the following full time position starting October 2018:
Professorship (W2) for Second Language
Acquisition and Multilingualism
The successful candidate will be responsible for research and teaching
in the Linguistics of the Romance Languages, focusing on at least two
romance languages. She/He will have a research focus in the domain
of second language acquisition or multilingualism and will be expected
to cover the field of theoretical linguistics and empirical research of
Close research cooperations in- and outside the faculty are expected
as well as contributions to the development of new education
programmes. She/He will engage in all education programs at the
institute, also in the teacher education programs for French, Spanish
We are looking for a person who has an ,habilitation’ or its equivalent.
The successful candidate will also be involved in teacher-training.
Experience in teaching at school and novel ideas regarding this topic
would be welcome.
The designated salary for the position is based on "W2" on the German
