Bielefeld University Faculty of Sociology is seeking to fill:
W2 Professorship for Political Sociology
The person appointed shall be responsible for political sociology in all of the
faculty‘s courses of study, in particular MA Political Communication and BA
Candidates must have achieved international recognition in a political
sociology research area, preferably in the sociology of political systems.
The appointee shall collaborate in joint research projects of the faculty and
the university, in particular within the planned Research Training Group
"Worldpolitics" and further faculty‘s research profiles. We expect a main
responsibility for the course of study MA Political Communication.
The formal requirements for the advertised professorship are: a relevant
university degree, pedagogical aptitude, a doctorate, and further academic
achievements. These will be evaluated exclusively and comprehensively in
the appointment procedure (§ 36 Higher Education Act [HG]).
