Your tasks:
The Department of Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning at TH OWL is committed to the sustainable design and development of open spaces. At Höxter Campus, you will find superb conditions for teaching and research thanks to well equipped IT and field laboratories, good infrastructure and committed colleagues.
We are looking for a person who can innovatively represent the field of design in open-space planning with a focus on object planning within landscape architecture, teaching in our bachelor's degree courses "Landscape Architecture", "Landscape Construction and Green Space Management", "Open Space Management" and consecutive master's degree courses.
Your profile:
At the interface of landscape architecture, architecture, urban planning and the history of garden design and open space planning, we are looking for a colleague with outstanding skills in landscape architectural design. You should be able to reflect on your own work critically as well as to contribute to professional and scientific discussions on recent discourses in landscape architecture.
Active participation in the acquisition of research funds through research and transfer projects as well as the willingness to actively participate in the further development of the department, its study programmes and the Sustainablility Campus project in Höxter is expected.
You will teach object and open space planning in the context of current and future tasks of landscape architecture. In various teaching formats (lectures, design projects, seminars and field trips) you will convey ways of thinking, methods and techniques of landscape architectural design. You offer your courses in German. In addition, you should be able and willing to teach in English and in this way be prepared to contribute to the development of the English Master program "Sustainable Landscape Design and Development".
You are familiar with innovative study and communication formats such as student projects and interdisciplinary project work. You are willing to offer up to 25% of your teaching digitally and across locations and courses of study. At the same time, you identify with the university's teaching concept, which requires a high presence of the lecturers at the university location. You are willing to take on tasks of self-administration of the university.
