Excellent in Teaching and Research
For our new Bachelor's program "Open Space Management" as well as in the programs "Landscape Architecture" and "Landscape Architecture and Green Space Management" a teaching body is sought who future-oriented, comprehensively represents the current legal and economic requirements of open space management based on the principle of sustainability. Furthermore, someone who is able to develop them in the field of applied research and transfer.
Applicants are expected to have relevant business management skills and a broad range of legal experience in this area. Therefore, they have to introduce the students to the basics of business administration, clarify central business terminology, and strategic decision making. Another component embodies knowledge on accounting, investment calculation, financing and controlling. In addition, they have to show profound knowledge on private as well as public building law, administrative law, commercial law and environmental law. Thus, this position exhibits core subjects of economics and law with reference to open space.
In the various modules, students should get to know, as well as apply the economic and legal scope for action. Relevant experience in the management of open spaces is desirable.
They should also systematically introduce students to the legal norm contexts on the basis of the BGB and offer basic knowledge, in order for them to be able to recognize legal problems, and solve them by exchanging ideas with lawyers. They will generate an understanding among students of the structural approaches and ways of thinking of legal action and legal instruments in the above-mentioned areas. In addition, you should venture into the basics of construction contract and work contract law according to the regulations of the German Civil Code (BGB) and, the German Construction Contract Procedures (VOB). In this context, students are taught knowledge on planning and environmental law. Students should then be able to grant permits and make decisions in regards to administrative law, and apply the legal requirements of environmental law to practical tasks. The teaching body should also introduce students to the basics of the Environmental Information and Damage Act.
The applicant should have completed a relevant degree ideally as a business lawyer or as a business economist, lawyer, or related studies with appropriate postgraduate studies or professional experience and should have broad professional or scientific experience.
Furthermore, you promote innovative and interdisciplinary study and communication formats for multidisciplinary teaching and for the dialog between science and society. This may include, in particular, interdisciplinary student projects and may involve, if possible, several departments. 25% of your teaching is provided as digital teaching, if required, to enable cross-location events.
You identify with the university's supervision concept, which requires a high presence of the lecturers at the university location and the willingness to take on self-administrative task at the university. You offer your courses in German. In addition, you are qualified to conduct courses in English.
