Professorship (W1, Tenure Track)
in Data Analytics and Modeling
We are seeking an expert in the field of Analytics and Modeling who represents this field in research and teaching and complements the
current team. Topics of interest include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Neuroscience, Data Mining, Natural
Language Processing, and Computer Vision.
We expect the candidate to have finished an above-average doctorate and to possess an excellent track record of scientific publications.
Experience with interdisciplinary and/or international collaborations and actively acquiring third-party support are requested. The position
is part of a strategic repositioning of the Institute of Computer Science in the research areas Data Analytics, Theoretical Computer Science
and Green IT. The successful applicant is expected to establish scientific networks within the Institute of Computer Science, in particular
with computational life science, as one of the primary application areas. The professorship is embedded in the attractive research landscape

We are looking for a dedicated academic teacher who will be actively involved in our graduate and undergraduate programs. Upon positive tenure
evaluation, we expect the candidate to be actively involved in the teaching of programming at undergraduate level. The candidate is additionally
expected to appropriately engage within academic self-administration.
The initial tenure track appointment as Assistant Professor is for six years according to § 64 of the Higher Education Act of the State
of Hessen (HHG). The professorship is funded by the Bund-Länder-Programm zur Förderung des wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchses (BLP-Programm).
The invitation to apply aims to reach early-stage researchers, who have finished their doctorate. Upon positive evaluation, the incumbent will be
promoted to a permanent position at a higher level (W2). The designated salary for the position is initially based on “W1” of the
