What to expect:
You will teach on our Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes at the Department of Social Work, focusing on social medicine and epidemiology / epidemiologically significant diseases / health promotion and health policy.
You will also address the role of social work in health care, as well as the scientific foundation and empirical justification of prevention and intervention concepts.
Your research will focus on multiply exposed populations and cross-sectoral care issues.
You enjoy contributing your expertise from both professional and academic work to interdisciplinary contexts and to a multiprofessional and dynamic team at the department.
You will also contribute to self-government at the department and to the new and further development of degree programmes, and will be involved in academic continuing education.
It is quite natural for you to deliver courses involving digital technology, possibly also in English.
You have a degree in Human Medicine, followed by professional experience / qualification to become a public health specialist and/or a psychiatry/psychotherapy specialist, or an equivalent academic and professional qualification. You additionally completed your doctorate with above-average success.
You are familiar with medical practice as well as intersectoral and interprofessional cooperation in the above areas, and have experience in a variety of healthcare institutions and sectors.
You have explored the health needs of particularly vulnerable groups from a medical perspective, and are able to contribute this perspective to interdisciplinary cooperation with a special focus on social work.
The scientific foundation of health-related services, health policy projects and the promotion of health literacy are of particular concern to you.
Besides your extensive experience in teaching, you are ideally also familiar with applying for external funding and collaborating in research projects.
