Koblenz University of Applied Sciences (www.hs-koblenz.de) with its locations in Koblenz, Remagen and Höhr-Grenzhausen offers scientific teaching, further education and applied research with a comprehensive range of on-campus and distance-learning courses.
The following professorship is to be filled in the Faculty of Engineering at our campus in Koblenz at the earliest possible date:

Professorship for Electronics
(Salary grade W 2)

Part-time employment is generally possible.

The position holder represents the subject area in teaching and research. We are looking for a qualified personality with comprehensive competence and occupational experience in the area of electronic circuit design and simulation.
The position covers the teaching areas of electronics, analog circuit design, semiconductor technology and printed circuit board design. Additionally, basic subjects of the faculty such as fundamentals of electrical engineering or physics are to be represented.
In addition to pedagogical-didactic aptitude, the prerequisites are a university degree in the field of electrical engineering as well as a qualified doctorate degree in a subject area of the teaching field.
Profound knowledge in at least one of the the fields of industrial electronics, automotive electronics or integrated circuit design and in the application of circuit design methods are required as well as the confident handling of simulation tools for electronic circuits.
Experience in the acquisition, application and implementation of research and development projects is desirable.
As a modern university of applied sciences, we offer a family-friendly, collegial working environment. Your area of work will include the existing laboratory for electronics, which you will be in charge of. This includes staff and/or student support for laboratory activities.
A high quality of teaching and supporting the students in their learning processes is an important concern for us. This includes the readiness for blended learning, online teaching and teaching evaluation, the implementation of teaching in English and a weekly on-site presence, which ensures qualified advice and regular contact with students as well as participation in the self-governing bodies of the university.

The hiring requirements for professors result from § 49 of the Higher Education Act of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate (HochSchG).
