We are looking for a personality with an extended professional background in the digital marketing industry. In close relationship to industry partners the professor should cover the following fields, both in teaching and research:
  • Digitalcommunication strategies
  • Data-driven Advertising
  • Real-time advertising
  • Search engine marketing/optimization
  • Display Advertising
  • Affiliate Marketing
The professorship for digital advertising is positioned at the interface between campaign management and the respective technologies.

We expect graduate studies in management, social sciences or (information) technology as well as a respective Ph.D. degree or adaquate. The ideal candidate can count on several years of experience in digital marketing and is part of the industry. We emphasize on methodological approaches in analyzing big data and would like to see successful implementations of data-driven campaigns.

Being part of the expert community of digital advertising the ideal candidate is reknowned for his or her publications and contributions at conferences and industry venues. Based on lecturing experience in respective institutions teaching is seen as a passion for inspiring young talents enthusiastically. Lectures could be held both in English and German.

German professors are obliged to:
  • hold lectures in both Bachelor and Master programs on all levels (mandatory courses, electives, seminars)
  • supervise projects (as part of seminars, final thesis, research)
  • collaborate with the advertising industry
  • become involved in the self-administration system of the university
  • constantly develop own courses as well as curricula and programs
