Engineering and Material Science is seeking top candidates for full-time and half time Professor / Associate Professors / Assistant Professor Positions in the field of:
We seek candidates who have a record of excellent teaching, experience and demonstrated commitment to excellent pedagogical practices,
and strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, as evidenced by the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application
including a strong statement of teaching philosophy, as well as strong letters of reference from referees of high standing.
PhD degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (with focus on Robotics)
Minimum one year teaching experience
Strong knowledge of robotics, control engineering, autonomous systems and sensor technology
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Excellent organizational and management skills
Strong research profile
The approved candidate will establish a research group in the area of Robotics and actively promote graduate and undergraduate research at the GUC Berlin.
The professor is expected to play a leading role in the newly formed research group "Robotics and Autonomous Systems". In this group, the professor will be
responsible for the control and mechanical components of robotic systems. In addition to participating in this group, the professor shall endeavour in
researching any chosen areas of Robotics.
The professor shall also support teaching activities at GUC Berlin, teaching courses such as Control Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, and Autonomous Systems.
