The Goethe University Frankfurt am Main invites applications for the position of
Professor (W2, tenure track) of Clinical Pharmacy
in the Institute of Pharmacology and Clinical Pharmacy at the Faculty of Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacy. This civil servant or public employee position will start on 1 October 2023.
This is a tenure-track position for an initial six-year term. If tenure is approved at the end of the term, the position will be made permanent and promotion to the rank of Distinguished Professor (W3) will be granted.
Applications are invited from scientists whose research addresses a current topic in clinical pharmacy, such as predictive ex vivo / in vivo disease models along the pharmaceutical value chain or individualized drug therapy. Experience with studies on human tissues or human sample material is desired. Willingness to work closely with the Faculty of Biochemistry, Chemistry and Pharmacy and to participate in research collaborations at the Goethe Universit (

The future holder of the position will cover Clinical Pharmacy in the existing Pharmacy teaching programs. Experience in teaching Clinical Pharmacy and/or Pharmacology as well as university teaching skills are expected. A license to practice as a pharmacist or physician is desired.
The formal hiring requirements are defined in sections 67, 68, and 70 of the Hessian Higher Education Act (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz).
