Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences in the Lower Rhine region of Germany has provided an innovative, interdisciplinary and international education to young minds from around the world. We offer a total of 36 undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes in four multidisciplinary faculties: Technology and Bionics, Life Sciences, Society and Economics, and Communication and Environment. The Faculty of Life Sciences focuses on natural science competences. The diversity of subjects includes areas such as biotechnology, nutrition, health, agriculture, food, sustainability, quality management and the environment and offers an interdisciplinary platform for a first professional qualification after the Bachelor's degree as well as research-oriented training in the Master's area. YOUR FUTURE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Teaching in the field of general business administration with a focus on the health sector as well as the adjacent fields of agriculture, nutrition and environment
- Teaching basic and elective courses in the faculty’s Bachelor's and Master's programs in German and English, also in the evenings and on weekends
- Willingness to take on the position of director of the Master's program "Health Sciences and Management”
- Application-oriented research and transfer in cooperation with international, national and regional stakeholders and commercial enterprises
- Participation in the further development of interdisciplinary cooperation within the faculty
YOUR SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in business administration and relevant doctorate, both completed with outstanding results
- Relevant practical work experience, ideally in the healthcare sector
- Research expertise, evidenced by relevant publications and/or the amount of third-party funding obtained, is an advantage
- Creativity, team spirit, and the ability to collaborate across disciplines in teaching and research
- Very good knowledge of German and English, at least on level C1 according to the European Framework of Reference, must be proven in an appropriate form
- Teaching experience in the field of business administration is desirable

General requirements for the appointment of new professors are derived from § 36 of the Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz NRW). The following qualifications are therefore mandatory for all applicants to this position:
- A PhD in hand from a research university in a relevant field
- Excellent academic and research skills, usually demonstrated by the quality of a doctoral dissertation
- At least five years of relevant career experience in the applied use or development of research findings and methodology; at least three of these years must have been outside of higher education
