Professor
in » Pharmaceutical Radiochemistry «
W2 Tenure Track Assistant Professor (with tenure track to W3) or W3 Associate/Full Professor; to begin as soon as possible.
Scientific Environment
The professorship will be assigned to the TUM School of Natural Sciences and affiliated with the TUM School of Medicine and Health. The professorship will be housed at Radiochemistry Munich RCM. The professorship is part of an interdisciplinary research environment including the Research Neutron Source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) and TranslaTUM – Center for translational Cancer Research.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include research and teaching as well as the promotion of early-career scientists. We seek to appoint an expert in the research area of pharmaceutical radiochemistry ideally combining basic as well as applied (translational) research resulting in novel applications of medical isotopes for imaging and/or therapies of human diseases. Teaching responsibilities include courses in the university’s bachelor and master programs. It is expected that the candidates engage in interdisciplinary and innovative teaching formats.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated excellent achievements in research and teaching in an internationally recognized scientific environment, relative to the relevant career level (please see

A university degree and an outstanding doctoral degree or equivalent scientific qualification, as well as pedagogical aptitude, are prerequisites. Substantial research experience abroad is expected. Applicants should show a clear commitment to interdisciplinary research. Experience in (pre)clinical evaluations is encouraged.
