The Hochschule für Bildende Künste–Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main has been committed to providing equal, international, adventurous, and independent artistic education since 1817. It is one of the most prestigious art schools in the world.
In accordance with §§ 61 and 62 HHG (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz the Städelschule is seeking a professor, individual or collective team, for the study of architecture with a focus on Cohabitation. This W2 (analogous to the German/Hessian “W-Besoldung” and as an employment relationship) professorship is offered for a period of three years (possibly extensional) starting as soon as possible, latest April 1, 2022.
The Städelschule seeks applicants with innovative approaches to building environments, considers the irreversible impact on the planet, and has an ambitious research agenda, and a serious commitment to teaching students. A demonstrated teaching experience engaging with unconventional ideas of space and thinking architecture in society, as well as questions of equity and social justice.
The teaching commitment includes individual artistic lessons in the central subject "Cohabitation" in the field of artistic architecture/fine arts as stipulated in § 4 Lehrverpflichtungssatzung of Städelschule.
