PROFESSOR AT A UNIVERSITY OF ART
(f/m/d)
– Salary group W 2 –
Permanent part-time professorship with half of the regular teaching duties. The professorship is a non-tenured salaried position.
Field of teaching: Liturgical organ playing/organ improvisation
Teaching obligation: 9 course hours (LVS)

professorship: April 1, 2023

Duties the open position offers:
- The continuation and, where appropriate, restructuring of the methodologically based teaching system for liturgical organ playing (beginners and advanced students) in the sacred music BA/MA degree courses, where appropriate, working alongside the music theory teaching staff
- Lessons in organ improvisation (language of instruction, German) and further development of this course of study
Requirements
- A higher-education degree in sacred music (A diploma/master), where appropriate, a concert examination in improvisation
- Evidence of outstanding performance (improvisation and artistic organ playing) as well as extensive teaching experience, chiefly of liturgical organ playing and improvisation
- Willingness to collaborate with the teaching staff of the Institut für Kirchenmusik at the UdK Berlin and to work on the committees of the academic self-administration of the UdK Berlin.
- Appointment requirements in accordance with § 100 of Berlin Act on Higher Education (BerlHG)
