Job description:
The Sasca laboratory (funded by the Emmy-Noether Program of the DFG,
the Else-Kröner-Fresenius Foundation and a “High Potentials” Grant of the
UMC Mainz) is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral (E13, 100%) position
Our laboratory performs basic and translational research to discover and
target mechanisms of cancer evolution, adaptation and resistance. We focus
on epigenetic mechanisms to track events that lead to cancer evolution/
resistance, but also to identify and target mechanistic vulnerabilities. Our
research currently focuses predominantly on myeloid cancers such as the
Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDS),
however we enlarge our range to other cancers trough running/new
collaborations
The central aim of all projects in our lab is to translate wet-lab research into
the clinical setting. An (early, not yet published) example of our work can be

Your profile:
PhD, preferably in biology, biomedicine, molecular medicine, or related fields
Ability to work in a team, share knowledge and skills, train and learn
We would preferably recruit a postdoc with in-vivo murine work experience
(and willingness to improve on it). However, this is not a mandatory condition
o matter what your expertise in the field of molecular biology is, we look
