Post Doctoral Researcher in the field of climate and energy economics

Post Doctoral Researcher – EU climate policies, in particular the EU-ETS (m/f/d)
Post Doctoral Researcher – Electrification of the transportation and buildings sector (sector coupling) (m/f/d)
Post Doctoral Researcher – Carbon pricing (public support, distributional impacts, behavioral economics) (m/f/d)
starting on
01.06.2020 earliest.
The positions are
funded until 30 April 2023. Remuneration is in accordance with the German public tariff scheme (TV-L Brandenburg), salary group E 13. All position are full-time with a weekly working time of 40 hours. Appointment is conditional on approval by the funding agency. The position can be filled on a part-time basis.
Key responsibilities:
- conduct research that is both policy-relevant and has high academic quality on one or more of the above topics
- coordinate related project activities
- disseminate project findings in formats suitable for decision makers (e. g. policy brief) and the broader public (e. g. blog posts)
Requirements
- PhD in economics or another social science with a quantitative orientation
- profound knowledge of quantitative empirical / numerical / theoretical methods and excellent analytical skills; knowledge of optimization software (GAMS or similar) is an asset
- academic record that underlines to publish in top-ranked journals in the field of energy & climate economics and policy as well as related interdisciplinary journals

- a high level of proficiency in oral and written English; a basic knowledge of German, or the willingness to acquire it
- willingness to travel for work (project meetings, workshops etc.)
- willingness to take over group responsibilities
