Post Doctoral Researcher in the field of climate and energy economics

Post Doctoral Researcher – EU climate policies, in particular the EU-ETS (m/f/d)
Post Doctoral Researcher – Electrification of the transportation and buildings sector (sector coupling) (m/f/d)
Post Doctoral Researcher – Carbon pricing (public support, distributional impacts, behavioral economics) (m/f/d)
starting on 01.06.2020 earliest.
The positions are funded until 30 April 2023. Remuneration is in accordance with the German public tariff scheme (TV-L Brandenburg), salary group E 13. All position are full-time with a weekly working time of 40 hours. Appointment is conditional on approval by the funding agency. The position can be filled on a part-time basis.
conduct research that is both policy-relevant and has high academic quality on one or more of the above topics
coordinate related project activities
disseminate project findings in formats suitable for decision makers (e. g. policy brief) and the broader public (e. g. blog posts)
PhD in economics or another social science with a quantitative orientation
profound knowledge of quantitative empirical / numerical / theoretical methods and excellent analytical skills; knowledge of optimization software (GAMS or similar) is an asset
academic record that underlines to publish in top-ranked journals in the field of energy & climate economics and policy as well as related interdisciplinary journals
a high level of proficiency in oral and written English; a basic knowledge of German, or the willingness to acquire it
willingness to travel for work (project meetings, workshops etc.)
willingness to take over group responsibilities
entrepreneurial spirit and organisational talent
