Advanced degree in Physics Fundamental knowledge in at least one special area in physics, UHV thin-film deposition (MBE, PLD, Sputtering) technique is desirable Experience in a relevant field of materials science or UHV Surface Physics Fluent in English and basic German Strong and enthusiastic cross-cultural communication skills with diverse audiences from lab technician to director level. Strong presentation and demonstration skills, including creation of professional and clear materials Hands-on mentality, entrepreneurial thinking and a high degree of flexibility Team orientation and assertiveness Willingness to travel
