We seek:
For our DFG Research Unit 5336 "Learning to Sense (L2S)" we seek up to seven PhD students in the areas of machine learning, computer vision, graphics and sensor systems under the following conditions:
100 % = 39,83 hours
pay grade: 13 TV-L
limited for 3 years
Your Tasks:
Participation in the „Learning to Sense" Research Unit conducting basic research on
Developing new sensor systems in microscopy, THz imaging, or CMOS chips with degrees of freedome to optimize for, or
Realistically simulating the sensor systems in a differentiable way, or
Developing new machine learning architectures, training schemes, as well as integrity methods to jointly optimize for a network and a sensor parameters
Your profile:
Excellent scientific degree (Master or comparable) in a project-relevant area
Strong communicative and organizational skills
Very good knowledge of English
