For the Institute of Comparative Molecular Endocrinology (CME, Tuckermann Lab) we are looking for a

PhD Student for the Collaborative Research Centre 1149 – Mechanisms of glucocorticoid action in skeletal stem/progenitor cells during bone regeneration (m/f/d)

Glucocorticoids (GCs) are steroid hormones that respond to stress, and GC signaling is important for bone regeneration. Within the Collaborative Research Centre (CRC) 1149 “Danger Response, Disturbance Factors and Regenerative Potential after Acute Trauma”, we offer an exciting interdisciplinary project to understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms of glucocorticoid action in skeletal stem/progenitor cells during bone regeneration.
This project will be achieved by state-of-the-art techniques and with collaborations among many partner laboratories. Unraveling mechanisms of GC signaling in skeletal stem/progenitor cells will provide rationales for therapeutic approaches in the field of bone regeneration.
We provide a collaborative, stimulating, interdisciplinary, and international scientific working environment. A qualified PhD program by the international graduation school of molecular medicine Ulm (IGradU) provides excellent training courses and support for PhD students.
