The Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) is a materials research organization in Germany. Our mission is to ensure safety in technology and chemistry. Your responsibilities include:
- Technical supervision of a research group DFG sub-project on the topic of "Macromechanical modelling of material behaviour during laser beam welding under mechanical stress".
- Communication and technical exchange with other research partners in the project network
- Acquisition of further third-party funding projects in the field of laser beam welding and additive manufacturing
- Supervision of master's and doctoral students
- Publication of results in peer-reviewed scientific journals
Your qualifications:
- Completed university degree (Master/Dipl.-Ing.) in the field of mechanical engineering with a focus on welding technology
- PhD in the field of welding process simulation or welding structure simulation
- Practical experience in the field of laser beam welding
- Very good knowledge in the field of FEM structure simulation and welding simulation
- Experience in applying for and carrying out publicly funded projects
- Good communication and information behaviour, goal-oriented and structured way of working, initiative/commitment and ability to make decisions, ability to work in a team and willingness to cooperate as well as conceptual, strategic and innovative thinking skills
