Lead Scientist - Single Cell Sequencing
The Excellence Cluster Cardio-Pulmonary System (ECCPS; www.ECCPS.de) and
the Collaborative Research Center CRC 1213 "Pulmonary Hypertension and Cor
Pulmonale" are conducting cutting edge research in the cardiopulmonary field. In
order to concentrate our sequencing efforts in the field of single cells, a new
Single Cell Facility is currently being established at the Justus Liebig University in
Giessen (sc-JLU). The facility will be headed by Prof. Christos Samakovlis and
Prof. Andreas Günther. sc-JLU invites applications for a position as a leading
scientist running the single cell mRNA sequencing facility.
The appointment will be for 5 years, with a possible 2 year extension depending
upon the outcome of an evaluation of scientific skills and facility productivity
during the fifth year.
Applicants are expected to hold a PhD in a relevant subject preferable obtained
no more than 6 years ago.
Evaluation of the candidates will be based on scientific merits and demonstrated
relevant skills as well as scientific collaborations. For further information about
