for the chair of "Digital Interaction between Buildings, Energy Supply Systems and Users".
Faculty IIIReference number: III-147/17 (starting at the earliest possible / for a period of 3 years, an extension of 3 more years is possible after successful evaluation / closing date for applications 16/03/18)
Working field: There are courses in the field of digital interaction between buildings, energy supply systems and users are
to be held, such as Smart Home / Smart City / Building Automation. The teaching has to be held mostly in German. Research shall be conducted
in the field of energy engineering on the following topics:
Digital strategies and solutions for existing and new buildings in the area of interaction between buildings, energy supply systems and users
Ecological, economical and socially responsible use of Smart Home / Smart City / Smart Metering / Smart Grid Solutions
Consequences, limitations and risks of digitalization
Requirements: Candidates must meet the requirements of the Berlin Higher Education Act (§102a BerlHG) including a completed
academic education, qualified achievements in research, usually proven by an outstanding doctoral thesis (PhD), educational and didactic
competences to proven by teaching experience and visualized in a teaching portfolio (for further information see TUB Website, quick access
no. 144242). Research expertise in the aforementioned areas of activity and comprehensive and profound knowledge of the thermal behavior of
buildings and in the subject area of the thermal and electrical supply systems, especially in the integration of renewable energies. Competence
in the management of a workgroup. Experience in the acquisition and management of national and international third-party projects.
