Responsibilities

We are looking for a personality representing the fields of training and movement science in research and teaching. Within this task, the target groups and activity fields of the institute's profile (school sports and sports for all, children and youth sports) are at least proportionally to be taken into account. Teaching tasks concern science-oriented and behavioral scientific modules as well as methodological training in the BA and MA study programs of the institute. Knowledge in sports-related practical fields is explicitly desired.

Our expectations

• Proven experience in empirically oriented training and movement science research
• Systematic development and establishment of a training and movement science research-oriented work area
• Experience in securing and willingness to secure third-party funding
• Proven experience in university teaching in sport education
• Willingness to interdisciplinary cooperate with STEM subject pedagogy, the Research Institute of Teacher Education, the specialist institutes of TU Braunschweig, the sports center of TU Braunschweig, the research foci of the TU Braunschweig, and non-university research institutions
• Active participation in academic self-administration as well as in scientific organisations
• Coordinating a quality circle on the "theory and practice of movement fields"
• Supporting junior researchers
• Willingness to participate in the internationalization of the university as well as in research and teaching

Requirements, § 30 NHG

• Completed university studies
• Proof of pedagogic-didactic suitability
• Special qualification for deepened independent scientific work, which is usually demonstrated by an above-average doctorate and
• Max. 4 years after defense in the doctoral procedure at the time of appointment

The employment is initially for a period of three years in a temporary civil servant relationship, provided that the general service law requirements are fulfilled. In the event of a successful interim evaluation in accordance with § 30 Para. 4 S. 2 NHG, the professorship will be extended by a further three years. After positive outcome of the procedure regulated in the tenure track regulations of the TU Braunschweig, an appointment to a permanent professorship in grade W2 NBesO will be made without further advertisement.
