Junior Science Manager in the area of „International Benchmarking and Diversity".
Technical University of Munich (TUM) is committed to the scientific training of junior researchers in science, engineering, life sci-ences and social sciences. The TUM Graduate School (TUM-GS) promotes the scientific and interdisciplinary qualification of doc-toral candidates to the highest international standards. Professional science management develops and organizes the high-quality doctoral program and all services. As Junior Science Manager at TUM you will be systematically qualified in our 4-year Science Management Qualification Program (SMQP). This will include on-the-job training as project manager and lecturer in TUM-GS semi-nars as well as a dedicated training program in science management and neighboring fields. Acquitting yourself well in your tasks and successfully completing the SMQP with a certificate will open great career prospects at TUM as well as at leading universities and research institutions around the world.
After an introductory phase, you will take on the following general responsibilities and develop further expertise in:
Generating and analyzing statistical data and surveys, developing key performance indicators in the internationalization of doc-toral education;
Pursuing best international higher education quality standards through international benchmarking;
Developing and implementing TUM-GS's diversity strategy;
Managing general tasks and services of TUM-GS.
We are looking for applicants with:
An excellent Master's degree in quantitative social sciences or relevant academic fields;
Work experience in data analysis, statistical methods, internationalization of graduate education;
A strong command of IT-based quality measurement tools and methods to optimize processes;
Outstanding written and oral communication skills in both German and English;
Excellent organization and time-management skills, creativity, spontaneity and ability to work independently and handle multi-ple tasks simultaneously;
A documented interest and experience in international higher education and intercultural settings.
Successful applicants will initially be given a 2-year contract, which is remunerated according to TV-L E13. After passing the in-terim evaluation, the contract will be extended by two more years. The mutual collaboration of all at the TUM is based on equal opportunities.
