This is a junior professorship appointment with a tenure track career path towards a W2 professorship. The position is funded by the Tenure Track Program of the German federal and state governments. We are seeking qualified applicants for teaching and research in the area of Experimental Economics. The starting date is as soon as possible Applicants must have conducted research at an internationally high level, which should include the conception and application of experimental methods. You will be expected to become actively involved in the research activities of the School and to contribute to interdisciplinary collaborations in accordance with RWTH Aachen University's mission of being an "Integrated Interdisciplinary University of Science and Technology". Emanating from the Research Area Managerial and Organi¬za¬tional Economics, the successful candidate will play a cross-area role in bringing together important strategic themes between the School and the University. Potential fields of collaboration may be the following: artificial intelligence, data science, life sciences, or living labs for analyzing regional and organizational trans¬for¬mation processes.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the School's Laboratory for Experimental Economics (AIXperiment) and will be expected to develop the laboratory further. With regard to teaching responsibilities, you will be expected to teach and to expand the School's programs of study "Business Administration" and "Business Administration and Engineering" at bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels. It is the School's specific wish that the methodological skills of our students should be strengthened.
You should have a completed university degree and a special aptitude for scientific work which is generally verified by means of an outstanding doctorate. Ability in and commitment to teaching are essential. The application should include supporting documents regarding success in teaching. German is not necessary to begin but will be expected as a teaching language within 5 years.
