Head of research group / Team leader (f/m/d) – "Novel manufacturing processes for perovskite photovoltaics"
The rise of perovskite thin film solar cells in recent years has opened a new option to improve the energy conversion efficiency of established photovoltaic technologies. However, key scientific and technological challenges need to be addressed in order to realize the potential of the technology. At KIT we are involved in this worldwide endeavor and research the novel materials and processes for perovskite multijunction photovoltaics.
The initial contract is 2 years. A longer term perspective is possible.
The research group "Novel manufacturing processes for perovskite photovoltaics" is currently created at the KIT and you will be in charge of it. Your area of responsibility includes:
Research on innovative deposition and manufacturing processes for perovskite PV
Coordination of contributions and research in research projects (e.g. for existing national projects, the ERC project Lami-Pero or similar)
Acquisition of new research projects and industrial collaborations
Publication of the research results
Optional involved in teaching
Staff management, supervision of master theses and doctoral candidates
A university degree (master) with a doctorate in the field of electrical engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science or a similar subject
Expertise in the fields of optoelectronics, semiconductor physics and photovoltaics
Experience in the manufacture of perovskite thin-film solar cells from the liquid phase
Project management and leadership skills
Experience in the publication of high-ranking scientific publications
Ability to work in a team and competence to guide doctoral students
