Full Professor (W3) of Tumor Biology and Functional Target Discovery (f/m/d)

The successful candidate should represent the research area “Tumor Biology and Functional Target Discovery” on an internationally competitive level.
We are looking for an internationally recognized expert with a focus on functional target identification in therapy-resistant tumors. In particular, a focus on
epigenetic analyses of tumors and the development of epigenetically based therapy strategies is desired. In addition to the required molecular biological, cell
biological, and epigenetic techniques, the applicant should have expertise in bioinformatic analysis of high throughput genetic and epigenetic data.
A close cooperation with the existing FOR 2314, the CRC-TRR 209, and the CRC-TRR 156 as well as with other members of the CCC Tübingen-Stuttgart is expected.
Furthermore, the successful candidate should actively participate in existing research networks, especially the German Cancer Consortium (Deutsches Konsortium
für Translationale Krebsforschung, DKTK), the cooperation with the Robert Bosch Center for Tumor Diseases (Robert-Bosch Centrum für Tumorerkrankungen, RBCT),
the German Cancer Research Center (Deutsches Krebsforschungszentrum, DKFZ), and the Center for Personalized Medicine (Zentrum für Personalisierte Medizin, ZPM).
We expect a committed participation and active shaping of teaching within the degree programs of the Faculty of Medicine.
Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent international degree and postdoctoral qualifications equivalent to the requirements for tenure. This includes evidence of teaching effectiveness.
