The Faculty of Natural Sciences invites applications for the position of a
Full Professor (W3) of Plant-Based Foods
at the Institute of Food Science and Biotechnology to be filled as soon as possible.
To enhance the University of Hohenheim‘s food science profile, we are seeking an excellently qualified person with internationally recognized research achievements in the field of the technological processing of plant-based foods. In particular, the professorship will research and further develop the optimal use of the technofunctional potential of plant raw materials and their ingredients. Technical centers with pilot stations as well as analytical equipment are available. It is expected that the candidate is willing to work in interdisciplinary projects within the Institute and in particular with the Nutritional Science area.
In teaching, the professorship represents the department in the Faculty of Natural Sciences' food science Bachelor's and Master's programs and in the semi-elective and elective areas of related degree programs. The candidate must be able to teach both in German and in English.
The position offers attractive conditions for first-time full professor appointees. Prerequisites for applicants are habilitation or an equivalent research and teaching record which may have been established during a Junior or Assistant Professorship.
The advertised position is tenured. If appointed as full professor for the first time, the University of Hohenheim reserves its right to probationary employment. With equal qualifications, preference will be given to candidates with disabilities.
