The Faculty of Natural Sciences invites applications for the position of a
Full Professor (W3) of Nutritional Science
at the Institute of Biological Chemistry and Nutritional Science to be filled in winter semester 2017/18.
The applicant should have excellent qualifications and have conducted internationally renowned research in a
current field of scientifically based nutritional science. The applicant is expected to be willing to engage in interdisciplinary
cooperation, in particular with University working groups specialized in health science.
In teaching, the professorship represents the Department of Nutritional Science in the Bachelor’s and Master’s
programs as well as in the elective areas of other subject-related degree programs. The candidate should be
able to teach both in German and in English.
The position offers attractive conditions for first-time full professor appointees. Prerequisites for applicants are
habilitation or an equivalent research and teaching record which may have been established during a Junior or
