Full Professor (W3) of Molecular Tumor Pathology (f/m/d)
at its Institute of Pathology and Neuropathology (Department), General Pathology and Pathological Anatomy. The position is available immediately.
The successful candidate will conduct research, teaching, and medical care in the field of Molecular Tumor Pathology. We are looking for a physician with qualifications as a specialist in pathology.
The scientific focus will be on translational tumor research excluding neurooncology, particularly the molecular basis for the genesis and progression of malign tumors and their immunopathology. Besides reinforcing the Cluster of Excellence iFIT as well as the faculty’s and the department’s oncological-immunological focus, he/she will be expected to work closely with the Comprehensive Cancer Center Tübingen-Stuttgart (CCC-TS) and the Center for Personalized Medicine (ZPM).
Applicants must be known internationally for competitive, innovative research and correspondingly high-quality publications on molecular tumor pathology. Active participation in the Faculty of Medicine’s existing and planned research networks and experience in managing research working groups is also expected. The successful candidate will additionally be expected to independently raise third-party funding.
Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent international degree and postdoctoral qualifications equivalent to the requirements for tenure. This includes evidence of teaching effectiveness.
