Full Professor (m/f/x)
of Information Systems and Platform Economy,
W3 salary level
as tenured civil servant to be filled next possible date.
The successful candidate will represent the field of Information Systems with a focus on platform economy in research and teaching. The applicant should have recognition in two or more of the following research areas: competition, cooperation, and innovation in digital markets and platforms, and their economic, strategic, and societal implications; evolution, structure, governance, and management of digital platforms and ecosystems; data neutrality, reputation, trust, and transparency in digital ecosystems.
We are looking for applicants who (according to their career phase) have demonstrated outstanding scientific achievements and have developed an internationally recognized research program in the field that is to be represented. The focus areas of the professorship that is to be filled should adequately complement those of the existing professorships at the faculty.
The holder of the position is expected to contribute to the course program offered in the Faculty's bachelor and master degree programs, particularly in the faculty's bachelor and master degree programs in Information Systems, to duties in the area of academic self-government, to the acquisition of third-party funds, and to international exchange programs.
The relevant qualifications consist of a completed academic degree, pedagogical aptitude, a particular talent for academic work generally substantiated by the quality of a doctorate, and, in addition to this, further academic achievements. Additional academic credentials must be certified by a habilitation or equivalent academic qualification, which may also have been obtained through activities outside of higher education or within the scope of an assistant professorship.
Concerning tenured positions as a civil servant (“Beamtenverhältnis”), the candidate must be under the age of 52 years at the time of appointment (for exceptional cases see Art. 10 Abs. 3 Satz 2 BayHSchPG).
