The Faculty of Natural Sciences invites applications for the position of a
Full Professor (W3) of Food Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry
at the Institute of Food Chemistry to be filled in the winter semester 2017/18.
The applicant should have excellent qualifications and have conducted internationally renowned research in a
current field of the analysis of foodstuff ingredients, preferably proteins / carbohydrates. The applicant is expected
to be willing to engage in interdisciplinary cooperation with scientists of the Universities of Hohenheim and
Stuttgart, in particular with the faculty institutes of food science and nutritional science.
In teaching, the professorship represents the Department of Food Chemistry in the joint Bachelor’s and Master’s
programs of Food Chemistry of the Universities of Hohenheim and Stuttgart as well as in the elective areas of
other subject-related degree programs.
The position offers attractive conditions for first-time full professor appointees. Prerequisites for applicants are
habilitation or an equivalent research and teaching record which may have been established during a Junior or
