The Faculty of Natural Sciences invites applications for the position of a
Full Professor (W3) of Food Biochemistry
at the Institute of Food Science and Biotechnology to be filled in the summer semester 2019.
The applicant should have excellent qualifications and have conducted internationally renowned research in the area of biochemical and molecular-biological functionality of plant-based food systems to strengthen the University of Hohenheim’s food science profile. She/he should be able to apply suitable methodological skills to work on complex issues of research in food biochemistry. Technical centers with pilot stations are available. It is expected that the candidate is willing to work in interdisciplinary projects.
In teaching, the professorship represents the department in the Faculty of Natural Sciences’ food science Bachelor’s and Master’s programs and in the semi-elective and elective areas of related degree programs. The candidate should be able to teach both in German and in English.
The position offers attractive conditions for first-time full professor appointees. Prerequisites for applicants are habilitation or an equivalent research and teaching record which may have been established during a Junior or Assistant Professorship.
The advertised position is tenured. If appointed as full professor for the first time, the University of Hohenheim reserves its right to probationary employment. With equal qualifications, preference will be given to candidates with disabilities.
