The Faculty of Social Sciences at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University Frankfurt/Main welcomes applications for the following full time position:
Full Professorship (W3)
in Sociology with a Focus on Social Inequality
The future holder of the position is highly qualified in theoretical as well as empirical aspects of sociological inequality research. To complement existing strengths at the Faculty, a research perspective in the sociology of culture in this specific field or in the analysis of cultural dimensions of social inequality is highly welcome. An international research profile and significant publications in the field of sociological inequality research are also expected in candidates.
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate their success in securing external funding for their research activities. The future holder of the position will also participate in current and planned joint research at the Faculty and will teach on a wide scale in all the Faculty‘s degree programs. The successful candidate will also be involved in teacher-training. Experience in teaching at school and novel ideas regarding this topic would be welcome.
The designated salary for the position is based on "W3" on the German university scale or equivalent.
