The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Freiburg invites applications for a
Full Professorship (W3) for
with a focus on Cochlear Implant in the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology as soon
The future holder of the position will represent the subject in research and teaching. He/
she is in charge of the Section Cochlear Implant (Implant Centrum Freiburg, ICF) and
attends to clinical duties at the Department of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology. These duties
include patient evaluation, surgical treatment, and aftercare. International experience
and networking is desirable.
Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree in medical studies,
an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record and a board certification
in Oto-Rhino-Laryngology. Substantial achievements and experience in academic
research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German
academic system, are expected.
The position is permanent W 3-Professorship according to § 50 para. 1 Landeshochschulgesetz
(LHG) Baden-Württemberg as an employee.
