The Department of Economics at the University of Bonn, Germany, invites applications for a

Full Professorship for Microeconomic Theory (W3)

starting as soon as possible. Formal requirements are regulated by §36 Higher Education Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (Hochschulgesetz des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen).
The successful candidate has an established international reputation in Microeconomic Theory and has published in leading economics journals.
All teaching at the graduate level is in English. Teaching at the undergraduate level can be conducted in English or German.
The professorship is part of the Cluster of Excellence “ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy”, run jointly by the Universities of Bonn and Cologne and funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the context of the Excellence Strategy. The overarching goal of the Cluster is to advance the understanding of market functioning and failures as well as public policy responses, employing innovative research approaches. The new professorship will play a key role in the Cluster of Excellence and the successful candidate is expected to take up a leading position.
