The Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of
the University of Freiburg invites applications
Full Professorship (W3) for Applied Theoretical
Physics - Computational Physics
in the Department of Physics to be filled as
soon as possible.
The professorship represents the field of Applied
Theoretical Physics - Computational Physics
in research and teaching with a focus on
numerical methods for modelling and simulating
biological systems, functional materials or
complex matter. The appointed professor will
be expected to bear an appropriate share of
the teaching duties of the faculty as well as of
the academic self-administration.
Prerequisites for the employment of Professors
are a university degree, an outstanding
dissertation and an excellent publication record.
Substantial achievements and experience
in academic research and teaching, at the
level of a Habilitation according to the German
academic system, are expected.
